How to Play
From sign-up to your first battle: a from-scratch starter guide to Kanveay.
1. Create an account and pick your clan
Starting Kanveay needs no download or installation; a browser is enough. On the sign-up page you choose a username, an e-mail and a password. The most important question asked there is your clan: Blood (vampires) or Moon (werewolves). This choice is permanent and decides who you will fight for the rest of the game. The two races have identical stats; the difference is not in the gameplay but in the side you belong to and the community around you.
You need to verify your e-mail address. If the verification link does not arrive, check your spam folder. You can also log in with one click using your Google or Facebook account.
2. Get to know your resources
The whole game revolves around four resources. You can see all of them at any time in the bars at the top of the screen:
- ❤️ Health: Drops only in battle. Refills on its own over time. When it gets low you need to stop fighting and recover.
- ⚡ Energy: The fuel for almost every action in the game. Hunting, descending into a dungeon and attacking all cost energy. It refills over time, and your capacity grows as you level up.
- 🎯 Quest points: Spent on top of energy in quest-based content (quests, dungeons, raids). High-reward content demands more of them.
- 💰 Gold: The game's main currency. Used to buy gear and to train your stats.
The game does not stop when energy and quest points run out — wait and they refill by themselves. If you would rather not wait, you can top them up in the shop.
3. Head out on your first hunt
The safest starting point for a new character is hunting. It runs on little energy, carries little risk and eases you into the game's combat mechanics. Every hunt earns you experience (XP), gold and, now and then, an item. Progress in the first levels is deliberately fast; you will gain several levels quickly so you get a feel for the game's rhythm.
4. Train your stats
On the training screen you spend gold to raise your five stats: strength, defence, accuracy, endurance and intelligence. Each one plays a different role in battle, and what you invest in defines your fighting style. For the details, see the Combat System page.
Stat costs rise step by step. That is why, at early levels, concentrating on the two or three stats that match your fighting style is usually more efficient than spreading a little into every one.
5. Gear up and grow stronger
Buy a weapon and armour for your level in the shop, then equip them from your inventory. Every piece you wear feeds straight into your combat power. In the inventory, equipped items appear at the top and the ones in your bag below; anything you are not using can be sold for gold.
6. Keep an eye on your quests
Daily quests that refresh every day, plus weekly and monthly goals, give you direction. If you are not sure what to do next, the quest list is enough. Details: Quest System.
7. Descend into the dungeons, then step into the arena
When you feel ready, turn to the harder content — the Dark Lair, the Well and raids; this is where gold and loot really come from (Dungeons guide). When you want to measure yourself against real players, the arena and the duel hall are waiting (Arena guide).
Five tips for new players
- Do not waste energy. Once energy is full it stops accumulating; the most efficient habit is to log in while it is full and spend it.
- Do not attack on low health. A defeat costs you gold and health; recover first.
- Keep your gear current. The shop unlocks new pieces as you level; pushing on with old equipment slows you down.
- Join your clan. Clan membership means both a community and shared goals.
- Log in briefly every day. Daily quests and the login bonus pay more than one long session.
