Arena and PvP
Fighting real players: the arena, the duel hall, loot, honour and conquest.
What is PvP?
PvP (player versus player) is the heart of Kanveay. Dungeon creatures behave predictably; real players keep improving, swap their gear and surprise you. Every player who wants to reach the top of the rankings ends up in the arena sooner or later.
🎯 Arena
The arena is the main PvP area, where you attack players of the opposing race. You are shown opponents of similar power — matching looks at real combat power, not level. That rules out both walkovers and hopeless fights.
When you win you plunder a share of your opponent's gold; that plunder is recorded as loot and appears as its own category in the rankings. You also earn honour points. When you lose you forfeit gold and health — but your items are never taken from you.
A cooldown stops you attacking the same player over and over. After striking an opponent you have to wait a while before you can hit them again. This rule prevents any single player from being targeted endlessly.
🏆 Duel Hall
Unlike the arena, the duel hall makes no distinction of race or power. One button press is enough to join; everyone in the hall can fight everyone else. You can leave whenever you like.
This is the place for those who really want to test themselves: you may face someone far stronger than you, or far weaker. For players who enjoy risk, it is the freest arena in the game.
🚩 Conquest
Conquest is special content aimed at accounts that have not logged in for a very long time. You can conquer a character who has not returned to the game for over a year. If you succeed you earn a permanent power talisman — it is added to your combat stats for good.
Conquest is a serious mechanic: the conquered account is deleted. That is why only genuinely abandoned accounts can be targeted, and the system blocks anyone from conquering their own second account.
How are the rankings decided?
The rankings page is kept in several categories, and you can switch between them by clicking the headings:
- Total XP — The main ranking. The sum of all the experience you have ever earned; it is never reset.
- Loot — The gold you have plundered. Dungeons are the primary source, the arena the secondary one.
- Power — Your combat power.
- Honour — Earned from PvP victories.
- Gold — The wealth you hold.
Making total XP the main ranking is a deliberate choice: the effort you have put into the game counts for more than your wealth at any given moment.
The multi-account ban
Creating a second account of your own and funnelling loot from it is one of the game's most serious violations, and the system detects it automatically. Trades and conquest attempts between accounts belonging to the same owner are logged; repeated violations lead first to temporary bans and then to permanent ones. Fair play is what keeps the rankings meaningful.
How to do well in PvP
- Attack on full health. A fight entered at half health is usually lost.
- Choose your opponent. The list shows players of similar power, but they are not all alike; a look at their combat record tells you a lot.
- Keep your gear up to date. In PvP a difference of a few points decides the fight.
- Do not neglect intelligence. First-strike priority decides the winner in evenly matched fights.
- Use potions. Before attacking an important target, temporary bonuses make a real difference.
