Ritual Guide: The Blood Rite and the Moon Ritual
Set off your self-accumulating power at the right moment: a 30-minute stat bonus plus instant gold.
Every action in Kanveay has a price: hunting takes energy, dungeons eat quest points, training swallows gold. The ritual is the one exception to that rule — a reservoir of power that fills by itself as time passes, costing no resource at all. Your ritual power gathers quietly while you sleep, while you work, even while your character digs in the mine. The skill lies in releasing that power at the right moment. This guide covers the maths of the build-up, the two rewards of setting it off, and the art of timing.
🩸 Two names, one mechanic
The ritual's name follows your race: the vampires of the Blood Clan perform the Rite of Blood, the werewolves of the Moon Clan the Ritual of the Moon. The screen colours and icons take on your race — red tones for vampires, moon blue for werewolves — but every rule is identical on both sides. The ritual is therefore not a balance factor in your race choice but an identity one; whichever side you pick, you hold a tool of equal power. If you have not yet decided between vampire and werewolf, the Clans guide describes both worlds.
⏳ Building power: one drop a minute
Ritual power builds at 1 point every 60 seconds, capped at 100 points. The build-up is entirely passive: you do not need to be online, press a button or keep the page open. The counter runs on real time — hours spent offline count too. Waking up to 100 power is one of the ritual's sweeter habits.
The critical detail: once the cap is reached, the build-up stops. A reservoir at 100 power gathers not one more drop; every minute it sits full is power you never earned. So the right strategy is not to wait forever for it to "get as high as possible" but to spend it as it nears the top and restart the counter. The journey from empty to full normally takes 100 minutes — an hour and forty; for premium members the build-up is twice as fast and the same journey ends in 50 minutes.
💥 Setting it off: one button, two rewards
You need at least 20 power banked to set off the ritual; below that the button is locked. The moment you fire it, two things happen at once:
- A stat bonus. Every 5 power banked is written to your stats as +1, and the bonus stays active for 30 minutes. A ritual fired at 100 power adds +20 to your stats for half an hour. The bonus is folded into your combat values just like gear: in hunts, in dungeons, in the arena and against the world boss — anywhere there is a fight, you feel it.
- A burst of loot. At the same moment, power × level × 5 gold lands in your wallet. The value of the burst depends on both the power you banked and your character level; as you level, the same fill pays more.
After firing, the reservoir resets and the build-up begins again immediately. There is no cooldown penalty, no daily limit and no extra cost — the moment it refills you are ready for the next ritual.
The ritual screen does not ask you to make this call blind: below the power bar sits a counter showing how many seconds remain until the next point, and right beside it a live preview of the bonus and the gold you would get "if you fire now". So you see exactly what you will gain before pressing the button; there is no surprise, only a timing decision.
📊 The ritual in numbers
The table below shows what a single firing returns at different fill levels and character levels:
| Power banked | Stat bonus (30 min) | Gold (level 20) | Gold (level 50) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 | +4 | 2.000 | 5.000 |
| 50 | +10 | 5.000 | 12.500 |
| 75 | +15 | 7.500 | 18.750 |
| 100 | +20 | 10.000 | 25.000 |
The table teaches two lessons. First: both the bonus and the gold grow linearly with power, so one firing at 100 power pays the same gold as five firings at 20 — but produces a far more effective single +20 bonus. Second: the same power is worth much more at a high level — the ritual is one of those rare income sources that appreciates on its own as your character grows. You can find exactly what your stats do in combat in the Combat System guide.
🏆 The loot-ranking exception
An important rule: gold from the ritual does not count towards the loot ranking. That ranking measures only the plunder gathered from hunts, dungeons and raids; ritual gold goes straight into your wallet but is never written into the ranking ledger. So the ritual makes you rich without moving you up the loot table. If you want to climb the rankings, your road runs through hunts and dungeon runs; think of the ritual as the fuel for those runs, not as the run itself. For the ranking categories and the PvP side, see the Arena and PvP guide.
⭐ The premium difference
Premium membership strengthens the ritual on two fronts: the build-up rate doubles (1 power every 30 seconds — the reservoir fills in 50 minutes) and the gold from the loot burst rises by a quarter. At level 50, for instance, a 100-power firing pays 31,250 gold on a premium character instead of 25,000. Combined with the ability to fire twice as often during the day, premium creates one of the most noticeable differences for players who use the ritual regularly. For the wider gold economy and spending priorities, the Economy guide shows the way.
🎯 The art of timing: when should you fire it?
The ritual's gold is the same in every circumstance; what makes the difference is how you fill the bonus's 30 minutes. Fire it while idling and the bonus evaporates; fire it at the start of a busy session and it strengthens every fight in that half hour. The most profitable moments are these:
- Right before a deep dungeon run. If you are planning a long descent in the Dark Lair or the Well, fire the ritual first: a stat bonus of up to +20 closes the gap between defeat and victory in the deep rooms and on boss floors. For how the dungeons work, see the Dungeons and PvE guide.
- Before a run of world-boss attacks. Boss damage is calculated from the sum of your stats; with the ritual bonus active, every strike tears off a bigger piece and grows your share of the pool. Details in the World Boss guide.
- Before an arena run. If you are going to attack several opponents back to back, every fight you fit into the 30-minute window benefits from the bonus.
- After long absences, not before them. If you are going to be away for hours, log out without firing — the reservoir fills while you are gone. When you return you fire a full one and spend the bonus half hour actually playing.
🗓️ A daily rhythm: build the ritual into your routine
Because the reservoir goes from empty to full in 100 minutes, the ritual lends itself to a very natural daily rhythm: morning, midday and evening — three sessions, three full reservoirs. Fire it at the start of each session, finish your heaviest work in the bonus half hour (a deep run, a boss series, an arena round), then play out the rest of the session without the bonus but with a full purse. The time between sessions is not wasted; thanks to offline accumulation you start the next one with a full or nearly full reservoir again.
For a very active player the ceiling is generous: since the reservoir refills every 100 minutes, someone playing all day can fire the ritual many times over — and premium doubles that rhythm. But the realistic target is this: two or three deliberate firings a day give you both a steady flow of gold and bonus windows that line up with the day's most important fights. For the same effort, that returns visibly more than firing at random with no plan at all.
🧪 Combine it with potions and gear
The ritual bonus is strong on its own, but it really shines in combination. The 30-minute stat potions sold in the shop work the same way as temporary boosts, and both can be active at once; since their durations match, firing them back to back to build a single "power half hour" is extremely practical. Put your best gear on top of that and your combat values are fed from three separate sources: permanent stats, equipment and temporary bonuses. Attacking a hard dungeon boss or a strong arena opponent inside that window carries a far higher chance of winning than the same fight unprepared.
⚠️ Common mistakes
- Letting the reservoir sit at 100. A full reservoir gathers nothing; waiting for it to "fill further" is plain loss. If it is full and you have half an hour to play, fire it.
- Wasting the bonus. Firing it and then logging out throws away half the ritual. The gold is permanent, but the bonus evaporates in 30 minutes — line the firing up with the time you are actually going to play.
- Being hasty at 20 power. Firing at every 20 just because that is the minimum produces feeble +4 bonuses. Unless you urgently need gold, waiting for the 75–100 band both uses the reservoir efficiently and gives you a strong bonus.
- Putting the ritual at the centre of your income plan. It is a fine supplementary income, but the main earnings come from hunting and dungeons — and ritual gold does not register in the loot ranking either. Use it as an amplifier for the main content.
One last note: you can set off the ritual even while your character is in the mine — a shift locks no action page, it runs in the background. The power keeps gathering drop by drop throughout the dig anyway; so you can set it off midway through the shift, or let a full reservoir greet you when you leave the mine.
